"Traveling from Reno Nevada is not easy, but the care I receive is well worth the effort... Before going to Dr. Slone, I was in continuous discomfort and experiencing difficulty walking and sitting. On my first visit, I experienced immediate relief and the improvement continues with each visit. Thanks
Dr. Slone!"

Continued Health

The Continued Health Section is designed to address those conditions that present as we get older. These conditions may range from balance disorders, to irritable bowel syndrome to erectile dysfunction. The majority of the symptoms that present as we age are neurologically based and may improve with treatment. By identifying and treating the area of the nervous system that is not functioning appropriately, normal function is more often than not the end result.

The doctors at Slone Chiropractic have treated patients who have suffered from strokes, falls, anxiety, depression, ataxia, movement disorders plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia and memory loss, and have had amazing results. It is important to realize that not all patients conditions are the same and the results may vary.

In the simplest form, the nervous system needs three basic items to survive, Activation, Fuel and Oxygen, and when one or more of these items is missing or deficient, dysfunction occurs. Dr. Slone’s treatments provide the activation of the nervous system by his treatment. Treatment may consist of firing joint mechanoreceptors, muscle spindles, utilizing vestibular ocular reflex (VOR), VNG therapy, posturography therapy, visual therapy, olfactory stimulation, auditory therapy, sensorimotor integration, and vestibular rehabilitation therapy. When assessing the fuel, the patient may be sent out to have the appropriate lab work performed as well as nutritional counseling. Oxygen is provided with simple breathing exercises and if the chest wall mechanics are fixated or not functioning as they should, a specific rib adjustment is performed to restore chest function and increase the ability to receive oxygen.
