How do I become a patient?

Since the doctors at Slone Chiropractic are primary care physicians, the patient does not require to have a referral in order to be seen. On occasion, there are insurance companies that will require a referral made however, the majority do not.

What should I expect on my first appointment?

The new patient will be required to fill out appropriate paper work as it relates to their condition. Depending on time, this paperwork is sent to the patient by e-mail, US postal service or may now be able to be downloaded from this website. If the new patient has not completed this paperwork prior to arriving, please arrive approximately 30-45 minutes early, depending on the complexity of the condition.

Once the paperwork has been completed, a thorough history is taken and a physical examination is performed. The entire process takes between 45 minutes to 4 hours depending on the complexity of the condition. When the process takes longer, the physical exam may be broken into two separate days, to avoid fatigue of the patient.

Following the initial visit, the new patient will set up another appointment where a report of findings is performed and treatment may be provided.

What should I wear on to my first appointment?

Slone Chiropractic provides medical gowns during the physical examination, however, the patient is often more comfortable when they bring their own shorts and a short sleeve t-shirt.

Will I be treated on my first appointment?

Treatment may or may not be provided on the initial appointment, depending on if the patient needs to be referred out for special tests or x-rays.

What do I need to do if I have been involved in an automobile accident?

If you have been involved in an automobile accident and are seeking treatment, it is best to make an appointment as soon as possible. You will be asked to complete the appropriate intake forms as well as a lien if appropriate.

Should I have an attorney if I was involved in an automobile accident?

Most patients like having an attorney represent them so they are protected. Our office does not require that you have an attorney. If the patient would like an attorney, our office will provide a list of three attorneys for your choosing. It is important that you know that Slone Chiropractic is not in business with any of these attorney’s. Slone Chiropractic just try’s to provide an extra service to our patient during this difficult time.

Is it too early to bring my infant/toddler in for treatment/evaluation?

It is never to early to bring your infant/toddler in for a treatment or evaluation. It is recommended that an evaluation is performed sooner rather than later to address any cervical conditions that may have arisen during the child birth process.
